Neighbourhoods we haul from in Toronto

Downtown calls are often condos and walk-ups. A mattress that will not fit a passenger elevator, a sofa from a one-bedroom, or the furniture a tenant left behind are the usual piles. Liberty Village, the Annex, and Yorkville add a booked elevator, a loading door, and a short window at the curb. The floor number and a photo of the path matter more than the postal code.

The Annex and the surrounding walk-ups add stairs. Landings are tight, and a couch sometimes has to come apart at the door before it will turn. Say that in the photos. The confirmed price should include the path you actually have, not a guess that the building has freight.

Yorkville and the downtown towers are the same job with stricter house rules. Some desks want the crew listed for a set hour, a padded elevator, and a clear loading area. Send those rules with the quote. We confirm the price before we load, and we work inside the window the building already set.

Rosedale and nearby houses are a longer walk from the curb. Side doors, garden stairs, and finished floors are the details to photograph. A large dresser or a fridge needs a straight path and protection on the floor before it moves. The neighbourhood name does not change the rate card. The volume and the carry do.

Leslieville, Riverdale, the Danforth, and the Beaches

East of the core, junk removal is usually a house. Leslieville and Riverdale semis hold basement storage, a sofa that has lived on the main floor for years, and a mattress that has to come down a painted stair. The halls are narrow. Floor protection goes down before the carry, because those floors are the part of the house people still use that evening.

The Danforth and the streets running off it are tight for parking. Queen, Jones, and the Danforth fill up. If you have a lane, a pad, or a spot you can hold for the stop, say so. If the truck has to stop on the street, say how close it can get to the door. That note is part of the quote.

The Beaches adds smaller houses, lane access, and outdoor piles after a yard cleanup: broken patio chairs, bagged brush, and the appliance that finally left the garage. Yard debris that a truck can take is welcome. Soil, stumps, and anything that needs a machine are not this page.

Cabbagetown and Corktown mix small houses with newer buildings. A condo there follows the elevator rules above. A house there follows the stair and parking notes. The price is still the share of the truck, all-in with HST included.

High Park and the rest of the Toronto call list

High Park and the houses around it often mean a garage, a shed, or a basement that has been the storage room for a decade. A clear driveway helps the truck sit close. A long side yard, a ravine walk, or a gate that is narrower than the sofa should be in the photos before the price is set.

Midtown streets between the Annex and the districts to the north are a mix of houses and mid-rise buildings. What we take from a Toronto home

Household junk is the job. Furniture means sofas, sectionals, chairs, tables, dressers, desks, and bed frames. Mattresses and box springs leave on their own when they are the only item, and they join a larger load when a bedroom or a whole apartment is being cleared. Appliances include fridges, freezers, stoves, washers, and dryers when they are disconnected and safe to move.

Electronics, boxed clutter, and bagged household waste that is not hazardous come too. Garages and basements are mixed loads: shelving, sports gear, holiday bins, tools you no longer use, and the furniture that was stored for later. Estate and move-out clears are whole rooms or a whole home, timed with the family, a realtor, or the person handing back the keys.

We do not take hazardous waste, wet paint, fuel, propane, or chemicals. We do not remove building structure. If you are unsure about an item, put it in the photos. We will tell you before you book if it has to stay.

The price is the share of the truck your items fill. It is not an hourly rate, and it is not a different number for each neighbourhood. Labour, loading, transport, and disposal for ordinary household junk are inside the rate. Prices are all-in with HST included.

A single mattress at the door, with an easy path, sits on the single-item line when that is all that leaves. A one-bedroom move-out with a bed, a sofa, a dresser, and bags of leftovers is usually a partial load. A garage that has not been emptied in years, or an estate that clears several rooms, can fill the truck. Photos from two angles, with a door or a person in the frame for scale, are how that call is made before anyone drives.

Between sizes, we quote the next tier up unless the photos show the pile is clearly inside the lower one. Stairs, a long carry from the curb, or a building rule belong in those photos so the confirmed price matches the path. We email the price before anything is removed. You pay after the job.

Elevators, stairs, and street parking

Condo jobs in Toronto succeed or stall on the elevator. Book the freight elevator when the building requires it, and send the time with the photos. Some buildings only allow a move in a weekday window. A passenger elevator that is too small for a sofa becomes a stair job or a breakdown at the suite door. Say which one you expect.

Houses are often easier to park and harder inside. A basement stair in a Leslieville semi, a narrow Annex landing, or a High Park side door changes the carry. Floor protection goes down on the path before furniture or appliances move through the home. Tell us about hardwood, tile, or a runner you want left in place.

Street parking is the other half of a Toronto quote. Downtown and the Danforth rarely have a spare curb at the hour you hope for. If you have a pad, a lane, or a loading door, name it. If the truck will stop on the street, say how close it can get. The price is confirmed from those notes before we load.

How a Toronto pickup is booked

Send photos on the quote form: the pile, the path, the stairs, and the parking note. Name what stays. We reply with a flat rate from the card. When you accept it, book a window. Someone who can approve the load should be there, or leave written instructions so entry and the stay list are clear.
