Question
What should you expect from junk removal in Oshawa?
Start an Oshawa booking by sending photos at /quote. The reply is a single flat price for the visit, settled before the first item is loaded, and the drive to Oshawa is part of it. This is a locally owned GTA crew. The price you accept has no franchise fee and no markup.
Downtown Oshawa rentals sit on older streets where the truck may have to stop a short walk from the door, so point out the parking in the photos. North Oshawa, Kedron, Harmony, and Windfields are detached houses with garage piles and basement stairs. Lakeview jobs are often patio sets and yard debris, and a Donevan turnover can be a couch, a mattress, and whatever a tenant left in the unit. Those household goods can go, along with appliances and renovation leftovers that are already down and safe to haul. Fuel, propane, wet paint, and chemicals stay behind, and so does anything that is still part of the building. A landlord who has the keys can book the clear and say if the unit will be empty. Pull items out of closets, mark what stays, and include the stairs or the alley so the flat price covers the real carry.
Region of Durham does not pick up furniture in Oshawa. The City of Oshawa runs Large Item Collection on the garbage week, every other week, with a separate truck. Houses, semis, duplexes, and buildings with eight or fewer units that are on municipal collection can book it at least two business days before that garbage day, if a spot is open. Put the pieces at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day, and no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before. A property with eight or fewer units is limited to 6 items. A property with nine or more units is limited to 12, and an apartment or condo townhouse is booked by the owner or manager rather than by a tenant. A piece can be up to 3 m long and 70 kg. A bundle has to fit inside 76 cm by 36 cm by 36 cm and stay under 20 kg (44 lb), and appliance doors come off before the item goes out. Garbage bags, tires, paint, oil, drywall, and yard waste are refused on that program. A downtown suite, a North Oshawa garage, or a basement full of furniture is outside that curb limit, so the crew carries the approved load from indoors and puts it on the truck in one visit.
