Question
What should you expect from junk removal in Whitby?
Send photos of the pile and the access at /quote. You get one flat price for the whole Whitby visit, confirmed before anything is loaded, with the drive included. Junk 'Of' Urs is a locally owned GTA crew. That confirmed price does not add a franchise fee or a markup.
Brooklin and Taunton driveways usually fit the truck. Downtown Whitby is tighter on street parking, so name the nearest corner when you send the form. Port Whitby and Pringle Creek piles are often patio furniture and appliances after a seasonal clear, while Williamsburg, Lynde Creek, and Rolling Acres send garage and basement loads. The crew takes furniture, mattresses, appliances, yard debris, and renovation leftovers that are already loose and safe to carry. Wet paint, fuel, propane, chemicals, and other hazardous waste stay put, and building structure stays in the house. Empty appliances, mark what you are keeping, and photograph the pile, any basement stairs, and the walk to the truck so the flat price matches the job.
Region of Durham does not pick up furniture in Whitby. The Town of Whitby runs Special Large Item Collection, booked in the Waste Buddy app or with the Large Item tool on the Town site. A house can use that booking when the pile fits it: up to 12 bulky or metal items, each under 20 kg, set by 7 a.m. on the booked date at the same spot as the garbage and recycling, off the road and off the sidewalk. Carpet and underlay have to be tied, and a roll cannot be wider than 4 feet. Empty a fridge or freezer and take the door off or tape it shut. The Town does not accept home construction waste on that collection, including brick, concrete, and drywall. A Brooklin garage, a downtown rental, or furniture still inside the house is a crew visit instead: the approved items are carried out and loaded in one stop.
